Blog Commenting For Backlinks

Overview

If you want to get traffic from Google and other search engines, you need lots of backlinks pointing to your website.

One of the most effective ways to get backlinks is to leave comments on other people's blogs (each comment will include a backlink to your website).

This service will help you to find suitable blogs that you can leave comments on.

Just enter your keywords into the box and click the button. If entering more than one keyword, each keyword should be on a new line.

The system will then generate a set of Google search links, to search for relevant blogs that accept comments.

.edu And .gov Sites

Many search engine experts recommend that you target blogs with .edu or .gov domain names, since they generally carry higher authority than other types of sites.

When using the service, you can select whether to search for just .edu blogs, just .gov blogs, or all blogs.

Posting A Comment On A Blog

The service searches primarily for WordPress blogs.

There are a lot of WordPress blogs around, but many of them do use "nofollow" comments. Nofollow comments may give you an authority boost, but will not give you any Page Rank.

Comments are manually approved on many blogs, which means that your comment may not get approved.

Creating a backlink is quite easy. The blogs have a "Website" box, as shown in the screenshot below:

Just enter your keyword into the Name box and your URL into the Website box. Note that the keyword should be the one you are targeting. This may not be the same as the keyword you used to find the blog (although it should relate to the same general topic).

Using Your Keyword As Your Name

Ideally you want to post your keyword as your name, so that the link text is the keyword. This will give you maximum search engine benefit, but it can reduce the chances of the comment being accepted.

An alternative is to use a name (it doesn't need to be your real name). Using a name will give you exactly the same page rank boost, but the keyword focus is not as strong. You can however establish keyword focus through on-page optimization and keyword focussed internal links, reducing the need for your blog backlinks to be keyword focussed.

Page Rank Benefits

The "page rank" boost you get from a backlink depends on the rank of the page where your comment will appear, and the number of other links on that page.

However the Google algorithm doesn't just use a simple page rank value. It is much more complex than that.

If you target blogs at the top of Google results, then you are already looking at pages that Google considers important for that keyword, irrespective of their page rank value.

However the number of other comments on the page IS important. So if there are already a lot of comment backlinks on a page, it may not be worth posting a comment.

Post Quality Comments For Best Results

Posting junk comments rarely works any more. Due to excessive use of automated tools, most blog owners now moderate comments or delete junk comments.

So to ensure your comments are approved and are not deleted, they should be relevant.

You should quickly read at least a bit of the blog post and then do a quick 2 sentence comment.

Use This System On A Regular Basis

In order to build backlinks to your site, it is recommended that you do some backlinking on a regular basis - every day or at least every week.
